Summer’s Biggest Celebration!

JSJ Builders

Summer is full of endless moments that evoke familiar and welcome memories. Whether biting into that first delicious triangle of watermelon, feeling the splash of waves along the oceanside, or pangs of hunger brought to life by the scent of a neighborhood cookout, summer is a magical time. The star of summer? The Fourth of July is the gem in the summer crown as communities nationwide pause to celebrate our country. For residents of each of JSJ Builders’ brand-new homes, there are endless options for enjoyment.

With a long history of patriotism, the Fayetteville area is a must-visit when celebrating Independence Day.

  • 2024 Fourth at the Fort Celebration on Fort Liberty: Fort Liberty will kick off festivities in the Fayetteville area on June 29th (3 pm-10 pm) with concerts featuring Flo Rida, Plain White T’s, Maddie & Tae, and more. This free event will also include food, fan zones, and fireworks!
  • Faycation will take over the Cool Spring Downtown District with reggae jams, a beer garden, and games for the whole family. Head to Maxwell Street from 7 pm to 10 pm on July 4th!
  • Fayetteville Symphony: Independence Concert: The Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and the City of Fayetteville will host a free concert on July 4, 2024, in Festival Park. Gates open at 6 pm and the music begins at 7:15 pm.
  • The US Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum offers visitors an unforgettable experience that honors the history and highlights the future of the US Military’s airborne units. With special programming offered in July, this is the perfect opportunity to visit this free museum.

Residents of central North Carolina are truly lucky to live so close to Fort Liberty as its rich military history provides the perfect way to celebrate our nation each summer. From fireworks to family fun, the Fayetteville area shines in July! Further from this area, there are even more opportunities for memorable experiences. With communities in Angier, Clayton, Wendell (and more!), JSJ Builders’ new communities are always just minutes away from a terrific Fourth of July!

  • Apex’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July is back with food trucks and performers beginning at 9 am and lasting just past lunch! Enjoy ice cream, take a trip down a giant inflatable slide, and cheer your favorite child along in the Parade of Wheels!
  • Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre will once again celebrate July 4th with a performance by the North Carolina Symphony. Afterward, guests will enjoy fireworks over Symphony Lake.
  • Clayton will offer its own fireworks display in conjunction with a day of downtown fun! Check the Johnson County website for the latest developments.
  • Garner’s Independence Day Celebration takes place on the evening of July 3rd at Lake Benson Park. The Kids Adventure Zone will return and the night will peek with music from the North Carolina Symphony and, yes, fireworks!
  • Hope Mills will be home to a fabulous Independence Celebration that needs two days to complete! Festivities kick off June 29th with daylong music, food trucks, face painters, and more! Fireworks will be set for 9 pm. Come back on July 4th and start the day with an Independence Day Parade!
  • Knightdale will celebrate July 4th at Knightdale Station Park. Past events have included a beer tent, vendors, and festive music. Details will be added as they become available on the Knightdale website.
  • In Raleigh, Dorthea Dix Park will host the city’s Fireworks Celebration offering visitors plenty of room to spread out! Enjoy food and music beginning at 5:00 pm!
  • Wendell? Why not! Wendell’s Carolina Mudcats will host the Down East Wood Ducks for a most American tradition: A night at the diamond followed by a fireworks spectacular! This game does typically sell out so get your tickets today!

Summer celebrations always provide many memories as friends and family reunite for good old-fashioned fun! While many opt to let local businesses handle the details, some prefer to celebrate at home with cookouts, music, and more. Celebrating safely is the best menu addition so, if staying home, do skip the fireworks as they are one of the highest sources of summer trauma whether through physical injuries or by triggering PTSD. While it is so important to keep our human neighbors safe, be mindful of how loud noises affect our pets; home-based 4th of July celebrations often send four-legged friends scurrying.

JSJ Builders has proudly made its mark with beautiful new builds in the Fayetteville area and beyond! As summer kicks into high gear, JSJ homeowners have endless options to celebrate! Want to join them? Reach out to JSJ Builders today!
